Dear friends and prayer partners:
Greetings from Brookings SD! Our family made the 1400 mile trip in three days and yesterday saw the Lord work in many hearts and lives. We had a full house in the morning service and God was working in several hearts concerning their need of salvation. I am looking forward to following up on some of them and hope to see them saved. Last night was a good crowd too and many knelt to seek God for specific areas of revival needs. Pastor Ivan Yoder is seeing people saved and added to the church and we are excited to partner with him for this revival meeting.
The last few weeks have been super busy. Micah Self and I preached in Phoenix, AZ at Maranatha Baptist and God moved powerfully there. We then traveled to Wilton, NY and again God met with His church. Micah then headed to Malawi, Africa and has been helping in medical clinics as well as preaching the gospel. While he was traveling to Africa, I traveled to Las Vegas and preached for my good friend Dr. Dave Teis as his church celebrated their 40th anniversary. God gave Micah and me both safety and strength and open doors to preach His word and to preach the Gospel.
Keep praying for us. Pray for Micah. He is serving in the Lower Shire (in southern Malawi) this week. It is a very primitive area and he will be preaching to many, many who need to be saved. God is using him there and many have already been saved in the services. Pray for us too. We are here in South Dakota this week and will be heading to Pine City, Minnesota next. The next four weeks will take us to three new churches (new to us) and that is always exciting for an evangelist. I will keep you posted.
Continue to pray for our financial needs. Micah is almost at 50% support for his international evangelism ministry. Our hearts are overjoyed to see that! We have several repairs to take care of and God has already provided about half the amount for the first repair. We likely will need to upgrade our truck soon and that is another matter for prayer too. God is so good to us and we are always amazed at how He just keeps on meeting all of our needs.
I have been especially encouraged recently that I am preaching for and working with some really fine younger pastors. They are soulwinners. They love the Bible and believe it. They are serious about seeing God work in their generation. Pray for them. Ask God to grant them wisdom and discernment and to use them to impact the harvest fields. Encourage them if you can. And lets keep praying for the Lord of the harvest to send forth more laborers into his harvest.
Your sincere friend,
Dave
